Hemlock - Lakefront-Family & Pet Friendly-Adirondack Cabin

For years we came to Indian Lake for family get aways, my sister in law sold her lake house so we ventured out to find a place and came across Chimney mountain. At first it was just my husband and myself, our daughter moved out of state and my son was too busy with work. This year everyone lives close by us and we now have 4 grandchildren and one on the way! Covid hit and well we all know things got hectic.. This past Christmas we decided that a summer family vacation was a great gift. We stayed at the Hemlock cabin (its the oldest cabin on the property). So many great memories made and a beautiful place to stay. The property is well maintained, there is a lake and some nice hiking trails. Oh and it is pet friendly too! Though we did not need the owners for anything, they do live right there on the property. I highly recommend this for a family get away or even one of the smaller cabins for just a couple. We have now stayed in 4 of the cabins on the property and each one was always a great stay.

My family and I stayed at the "The Cabins at Chimney Mountain" for a long weekend. It was so beautiful and peaceful. The hike up the mountain is challenging but worth the view at the top. We will definitely book another trip in the future.

Davanna and Tim, Thanks for another great week on your property. I so enjoyed the stay and spending time with my family. I appreciated the chance to catch up a bit, Tim, and give you a break from splitting wood. Everything was in great shape in the cabin with one exception. The odor from the hot water. Not with the cold, just the hot. Sulfur/septic odor which leads me to believe you have heavy accumulation in the water heater. It was so bad that I didn't use the hot water. My sister showered once, and it was beyond pungent (and, as I told her, it wasn't her that wreaked). Just turn on the hot water in the sink or in the shower, let it run until it gets hot, and you will know right away. I'm okay not showering for a week, getting my cleanse in the lake, but others won't be as accomodating, especially as the cooler days arrive. Already counting down the days to summer 2027. JT

We've been coming to Chimney Mountain for 25 years and as always, we enjoyed every minute. Our family is thankful to the new owners - for keeping what has always been so charming and peaceful about this special place, and adding their touches to an already wonderful experience!

Another terrific weekend on Kings Flow. Clean cabin, plenty of room for six adults(probably more with all the outdoor space). Night sky was spectacular and the swimming was perfect. Would definitely not recommend. 😉 Wifi didn't work and couldn't make calls or send emails to host as a result. We didn't much care other than the evening Knicks game(they won!). But it's worth noting, if you want the interwebs. We'll be reserving again for the Black Fly next year and maybe sooner for fall and/or winter fun.
